FAQ

Yes, I do provide certified translations from English into Russian and from Russian into English. I am a member in good standing of the Association of Translator and Interpreters of Ontario (ATIO) and bear a reserved title of a certified translator.
Yes, I can provide you with an official translation of your documents: it can be either certified or notarized translation. In both cases, the translation will bear an official stamp.

For more information on differences between a notarized and a certified translation, please read my blog post below.
A certified translation means that the translation has been prepared by a skilled professional translator who is a member of a professional association. I am a certified member in good standing of the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Ontario (ATIO), which ensures that language professionals are certified and able to provide quality language services throughout Ontario.
A certified translation, which is a translated document bearing a certified translator’s stamp, is usually required for the documents used throughout Canada (for immigration and academic purposes, government bodies and courts, ServiceOntario offices and Consulates).

In other cases, you would probably need a regular, non-certified translation that does not require a stamp, such as website translation or translation of articles and marketing materials.

In rare cases, a notarization of a certified translation may be required (for example, for Global Affairs Canada).

For more information on differences between a notarized and a certified translation, please read my blog post below.
You do not have to bring your documents in person; just send a scan of your document to [email protected], and I will start the translation process. As soon as your translation is ready, you can either pick it up in Oakville in person. Also, I can mail a hard copy to your address via Canada Post, charging an additional fee.
My certified translation fee starts at $45 per document but may vary depending on the length of a document and your specific needs. If you need a translation of a multiple-page document or several documents at once, I do offer discounts. To receive an exact quote, please email your scanned documents to [email protected].
